Lorica Squamata is ancient Roman scale armor made of small overlapping metal scales ( brass) sewn onto a fabric or leather backing. Flexible, durable, and fish-scale-like, it offered good protection and was worn by legionaries, centurions, cavalry, and auxiliaries.
